Sunny's family has fallen apart since the death of her older sister Jazz in a fire. One day a letter from Jazz shows up. She's coming home. The girl who appears looks like Jazz and she seems to know a lot about the family dynamics, although she really isn't Jazz. Sunny and her father are willing to go forego the obvious so her anguished mother can enjoy the fantasy of having her daughter back. But Sunny does some research and learns the truth. Debra was jealous of Jazz's life. After the fire, she decided to be Jazz and experience the kind of life she never enjoyed. The cryptic ending of Sunny receiving a letter from herself is too frustrating.
