Fun. Not as fun as the Nikki Heat books, but still a nice like snack. I do sometimes get the feeling that the author thinks we readers are sort of morons though. I really don't need every.single.thing explained to me. I promise. I've seen a fair number of crime dramas and read a few mysteries and honestly, this book is not rocket science. ( )

I read this series of three novellas in completely the wrong order. Yet they were still enjoyable and the Derrick Storm character is quite charming, whilst also annoying, just like the Ric Castle character from the TV series. ( )

Neat is all I can think of to describe this book. It just got over too soon. This part of the story can very well be incorporated along with the part 1. The plot essentially thickens but its nothing our of ordinary. The usual spying stuff with its usual fair share of deceptions and the normal shooting, the whole ten yards of it. Just another novel. failed to make a big impact on me, but yeah it was still good! ( )

Better than the first one with more character development. I might actually start liking Storm after all. The name April Showers is still one of the silliest names ever and nearly impossible to take seriously on a FBI agent. ( )

still vapid and formulaic, but this installment is a marked improvement over the first installment. it isn't insulting in its stereotyping and misogynistic. This installment was good, honest pulp. April Showers isn't a 3 dimensional characters yet, but the horrid bits from the first story were not repeated. This is adequate lazy airplane or beach reading. ( )
