It can be used before a social studies lesson or a science lesson as it pertains to crops, harvest, and insects. It can be used as simply amusement/entertainment because of the tiny elephants. This story is about a boy who was kind enough to share his food with a stranger and in turn received help that his family was in desperate need of. The reading level is a 2.8. “Little Elephants” is a cute magical story that many young children would enjoy. This is because of the characters in the story. The main boy is very relatable to children who are reading the story, and the little elephants that appeared under his bed are different, which makes the reader curious as to what they are and where they came from. Children would also enjoy this story because of the realistic illustrations. Even though this situation could never happen in real life the author made it appear realistic as if it could happen. The main message of this story is to not give up hope even when it looks like there is no way out. The boy’s family thought they were going to lose their farm because of the insects and not being able to gather the wheat, but in the end everything worked out and they were able to keep their farm. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
