Wilma Jean's teacher helps her figure out that you can control your thoughts and what you worry about. Wilma Jean suffers from worrying about everything, it even gets in the way of enjoying her days. Wilma Jean's mother becomes concerned and notifies her teacher. Together, they come up with a plan to ease Wilma Jean's worrying. At a time when the world is full of worry, this shows children that all we can do is focus on the things we can control. It's important for children to know they can talk with their teacher and parents so they can help and make accommodations if need be to ease any worries. (
