The title is 'The Curse' but they don't really explain as much as I would have liked about the curse. I like Evalle's developing relationship with Storm

First I will say I love the basic story lines and there are many. I was most disappointed by how this book ended, I though i was turning the page for the next chapter and it went to the pronunciation guide for character names..like uh... there are way too many open ends and i need info, how could this be the end?

Why don't I trust Macha?
What is going on between Storm and Evalle?
Is Tristan going to change back into a human form or will he stay as his new form?
What about Tzader and Brina?
Can Kizira really be trusted and will Quinn get a HEA out of this series of books?
How is Lanna going to play into the story line?
I feel like i could go on with questions. Its good to see there will be another book, but I hope it will not be as slow and drawn out as this one was. Granted there were son exciting moments in the story but it just seemed to go on forever. This was a long read for me, i actually fell asleep once while reading.

Well lets see what happens with the next book. Bonus read was the story of how Evalle got Feenex, nice little story

This series, is so addicting to me. Evalle is one kicked, beaten, hunted, misunderstood, mistrusted, character. With all her battered history she still fights for others, still puts others first. She is strong, inside and out. She lives with what has been dished out to her and makes the best of it.
Storm-I love Storm, and Evalle. Storm with his lusty black panther strolling around makes me curl at the toes. He had been gone, missing and is now back. Evalle, is his'want' but what are her feelings towards Issack ? Triangle love, twisted all up in a knot. I love it !
Other romances-Quinn, Kazira, Tzader and Brina all are struggling with their romances and all seem no closer to a resolution.
Action- There is a lot of action here. Evalle is hunting her own kind. She has to bring some Alterants to the goddess in a agreement to try to get the Alterants recognized as a race to be protected. But Trolls are killing and seem to be hunting something or someone themselves. Viper steps up and is wither going to kill them or help them, either way it gets bloody. The big-bads are really big and bad. Giant trolls, infused with demon badness and special extras making them very hard to kill. It hardly ever stops, there is so much danger, everywhere.
I really like this series. The characters are uniquely engaging. This book tackled a lot of the fighting and set up situations for a lot of changes in the next book. There was not a lot of movement in this one, more of a building foundation for the next floor. I wanted just one more chapter.

3.5. Really good story that took me a long time to get into. This one had a lot going on and left several questions unanswered. We met several new characters. The interaction between Evalle and Storm was taken up a notch and being the romance fan that I am this easily could have been 5 a star book if there was more of it. But it's an Urban Fantasy book not a romance book so I should know not to expect it. ( )
