Fairly entertaining middle grade series, not right for what I was screening for but I enjoyed the palate cleanser. ( ) The children and Penelope the governess and Lady Ashton decamp to London where a gypsy foretells something terrible happening to the children and Lord Ashton seems obsessed with knowing when there is going to be a full moon! Perfect for Middle Grade readers and fans of Lemony Snicket. Second book in the series. This second book in the Incorrigible Children series doesn't live up to the first book. There is less about the teaching of the children and more implications about Penelope's hidden relationship to them. I also noticed some anachronisms in the commentary of the narration this time, which is a shame... Katherine Kellgren still does a magnificent job with the narration (especially for the children's voices & sounds!), so 3½ stars for this audiobook edition. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
