Alphabet Everywhere by Elliott Kaufman is a picture book using Kaufman's great photography to illustrate the letters of the alphabet. The letters come from nature, construction, shadows, and anything in the world around us. Simple little things that we overlook, like a ladder forming an 'A' or a bike rack in the shape of a 'M." Elliott challenges you to take a walk, hike, or ride and look, really look at your surroundings.I think it teaches a great lesson that you can find letters, shapes, and wonder everywhere in the world around us if only we take a moment to look for it. This book is a great way of exposing children to the alphabet in a fun and hands-on way.

I highly recommend Alphabet Everywhere to any teacher or parent working with children who are learning the alphabet. I think adults with an appreciation for photography will enjoy this one as well. Kaufman has done a great job of making this book both artistic and accessible. Perhaps it can spark a discussion about looking deeper, or the start of your own game of searching for things that look like letters in your own backyard or during a walk or car ride.

This is a super cute and creative book which shows readers all kinds of alphabet consists in our life and it fits in very lower elementary. I will use it to introduce features of alphabet and impress my students. ( )

This is a wordless picture book. The authors found all of the letters of the alphabet in hidden places such as finding the letter c in a door handle and the letter y in the split of a tree. ( )

This is a non fiction book. This book has no words in it, only pictures. This book has pictures of where you would see every letter of the alphabet in the real world. It shows how letts are everywhere around us in our daily lives. ( )
