the adventures of henry and mudge, a great story of friendship ( )

Henry and Mudge is a great series about a lonely named Henry and his new dog mudge who becomes henry's best friend. These short chapter books are great for grades 2-4 and especially good for emergent readers. The books are easy to read but seem big kid enough that struggling 2nd-4th graders won't feel ashamed about reading them. ( )

These are great beginning to read books that first graders can relate to. They love both of the characters. I have several of these books for my student's book bags.
