Ever wondered what happened to your first love? Imagine bumping into them twelve years later and realizing you still fancy them rotten. That's exactly what happens to Dig Ryan when he sees Delilah again. Now imagine you're Nadine. You and Dig have been best friends for fifteen years. And you've finally realized that you're in love with him. So when Delilah-who was always your nemesis-returns, you're mad with jealousy and can't help behaving childishly...like phoning Phil just to get your own first love back... Thirty Nothing is a story of ex-boyfriends, ex-girlfriends, and friends dabbling with yesterday when they should really be thinking about today.… (altro)

it was ok, nothing amazing but a good read on holiday ( )

I will have this book finished tomorrow. As fate would have it, I started reading this book just after I turned thirty (or thirtynothing) as the female protagonist calls it. All the descriptions of eating cheap curries made me crave a good curry today and I treated myself to one at lunch.

I'm finding this book to be bitter sweet. There are some very funny bits and some very sad bits. On a one to one level I don't find myself relating to either protagonist. I married my college sweetheart and we're still happily married. This book is a glimpse of what could have been if I hadn't actively persued my then boyfriend (now husband). If you're single -- let me tell you this -- people don't read body language at all. If you like someone -- TELL THEM! :) ( )

Thirty-year-old London friends, a male and a female, have their romantic ups and downs with others with predictable results, but getting to the end of the book is quite fun. ( )

This book was even more stupid and predictible than I thought it would be. Ugh. ( )

This was a book of cliches... and not even well-woven ones at that. I should have gotten that from the cover, but I was always taught to never judge a book by its binding. I will be rethinking that lesson from now on.

I considered not finishing it after about 20 pages, and after hitting a flashback to the teen years, I decided to suck it up and finish it.

It took a day. I'm glad it cost me little else than a day's worth of reading and $1 on a clearance shelf. ( )
