If so, by definition the farmer does. Just because everybody else benefits from the cow's milk and manure and beauty does not mean they own it. Maybe: who loves the cow, who is brother to/ sister to the cow, something like that.... Pictures were ok. ( ) This is a funny little book that is very easy to read. The narrator is trying to get the reader to think about the question, "Who owns the cow?" Is it the farmer who bought the cow, or the girls that hugs it when she hears the cowbell, or the artist who paints a picture of the cow? Perhaps it's the man who wrote about the cow.....Andrew Clements This is a book about all the various ways people feel a connection with a specific cow. The farmer owns the cow (as in, he bought the cow and cares for it) but other people pass in and out and, through one way or another, feel they too own the cow. A great read for teaching children about feeling connections to people, places, things, etc. I especially liked the way the book ended and the pictures in the book (although bland alone) fit well with the story. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
In a sense, the farmer's cow is also owned by the neighbor girl who thinks about her, the milkman who buys her milk, the painter who paints her, and any others who appreciate her. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
