Rachel Lewis is a bona fide city slicker. Still, when her estranged father asks for her help, she ends up in dusty Stagecoach, Arizona, to manage his rodeo company for the summer. Being clueless about rough stock is nothing, though, compared to the confused feelings Rachel has for sexy ranch foreman Clint McGraw...because he's also her main competitor for her father's affections. Clint can hardly believe it when his boss hands over the reins to his long-gone daughter. What the heck does a spoiled city girl like Rachel know about rodeo? Why, she's crazy enough to offer a competition event to women bull riders! And for sure she's going to nudge her way back into her father's heart--leaving Clint high and dry. Even so, he can't help falling hard for Rachel. But only one of them can be the head honcho of this round-up! Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |

The book I read contained two books with this being the second of the two. I could not find the compilation book in the archives here.
The book deals with a girl traveling to Arizona to help her estranged father run his rodeo business while he has cancer treatment in Phoenix. Unfortunately, his ranch manager expected to be handed the reins to the rodeo business. Surprised at being asked to help the daughter, he wavers between wanting her to fail so that her father will turn to him and wanting to help her because his livelihood is also tied up in the ranch and the rodeos. He doesn't count on falling in love with her in the process.
I took a while to get into this book. It didn't grab me right from the beginning like the previous one did. I think when it got more to the rodeo portion and having the girls bull riding event that I got more interested in it. As with the first book, I wish there hadn't been sex scenes between Rachel and Clint. I liked Clint's daughter Lauren once she started working with Rachel and the rodeo girls. ( )
