( ) The kids love this simple story about a possum and a robot becoming friends. It's similar in style to the Frog and Toad books, and especially when read with proper robotic voice, 3, 4 and 5 year olds find it hilarious. The gentle message about being friends even when you are very, very different is simply expressed. Genre: Science Fiction Age Appropriateness: primary, intermediate Media: watercolors and gouache and colored pencil Theme: Friendship is the theme of the story. This important because Alien and Possum are opposites, yet they find a ways to compromise and learn about one another; figuring out that even though they have different characteristics and do things differently, they can still be friends. Review: This is a good example of science fiction, because it involves a friendship between an alien and a possum that lives in a forest on earth. Alien tries to find out how he fits in with possum in a foreign and unfamiliar place. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
