I thought this book was super solid conclusion to this five book series. I really liked how this book wrapped up both the mini storylines in the last two books and all the stores in the previous four novels. I really enjoyed the various POV charters we got in this novel. I also the characters Joanah and emma were very unique. I also also the various mysteries that wrapped up in this novel. I thought one mystery was a tad predictable. But overall I thought this book was a solid ending to the series. ( )

Rate 3.5 its was really good but it felt like there was a bit of a plot hole with the shades at the end. ( )

I really enjoyed this book. It's kind of funny, because the only reason I kept reading this series after Dragon Heir was because I had already bought the rest of the books, not realizing the last two followed a different storyline. Dragon Heir was so disorganized and poorly executed, I had pretty much lost hope in Chima's writing, but I forged on, as I'm not one to get rid of books I've never even read. I'm glad I did. The Thorn Hill storyline pulled me in a lot more than the previous one, and the books, in general, were written much more skillfully. This time, when she wrapped up her story, nothing felt rushed and thrown in last-minute, like before. There were still about two pages of exposition toward the end, but more scenes followed them, allowing for a nice, personal ending. ( )

Decent ending. Some of it was predictable. I loved Leesha's character development from beginning to end. I would definitely read another book by Cinda Willams Chima. ( )
