Talk about a steamy love story gone perfectly right! Well, in the beginning it was not perfect, but love proves to reign supreme once more. I was able to read this during one of our snow days, so it did not take me very long at all to finish it. Of course, once I started, I was instantly glued to my Kindle and did not want to put it down. I don't know what it is about these types of books, but I can't seem to get enough. I do hope to read more from this author, and I am sure that I will get addicted to her other works as well. For all of the women who feel as though their first love shall always go unrequited, this is a beacon of hope! ( )

Rowena and Simon planned to marry years ago but circumstances prevented them not to. Simon went to war and Rowena planned on waiting for him. Unfortunately, she ended up marrying Simon’s bestfriend. Apparently, Rowena’s brother and the Earl of Northam planned it all just for power and connections, hiding all letters that Simon had sent to Rowena.

Simon is back after 6 years of being away and is still in love with her. When he see’s her, he just had to have her and starts seducing her. Rowena feels that she cannot open her heart to Simon because she is still hurt from what she thinks he did years ago. Eventually, she throws caution to the wind and welcomes Simon to her bed.

I thought this book had promise. Loved the premise of lost love, and second chances but the author did not deliver. I know this is a novella but I felt the story just skimmed the surface. For this being rated as an erotic romance, it wasn’t as erotic as I expected it to be. I don’t know if I would read other books in the series, though. ( )

A steamy period romance! Two former lovers get a second chance at love when they realize the miscommunications that ended the relationship the first time around. A decent quick read, but the author did not need to use strong language for such a romantic setup. It seems a little out of place in this novella. However, this is still a naughty and fulfilling story, so give it a shot.

"Lady Northam's Wicked Surrender" by Vivienne Westlake was some short historical romance with some erotica and was the first in this series 'Rekindled Passions #1. This was the novel of "Rowena and Simon were once in love but circumstances and miscommunication separated the young lovers. Now, fate brings them face to face again and their feelings for each other are still very much alive after all these years." Now this is where I will say you must you must pick up this wonderful well written read to see where all this author will take the readers. Will Rowena and Simon be able to work through their issues in order to have a future together? Yes, this novel has a lots of sexual descriptive content and its all good. Would I recommend this read? YES! ( )

Dreams really do come true for Rowena when her former love walks into her bedroom and fulfills her fantasies. After Simon left for India six years ago, Rowena is left waiting for him. She stops waiting after her soon to be husband and brother feed her lies for the purpose of bettering themselves. Then after 3 years of marriage to Paul, Rowena is widowed and Simon is waiting to come back and pick up the pieces.

This is a hot and steamy book. The lust comes from love and it makes for great scenes. My only problem is I wish it were a longer book. This is book 1 in a series and I hope to hear more form Rowena and Simon. A great erotic read.
