Megan’s palpable sense of loss is tightly woven into this beautiful story. “Want me. Need me. Love me. Your love can hold me here, with you. Forever.” Called by her tears, snow god Owen is challenged to gain her love in just a few days. His naiveté and the wisdom of the ages is combined into a truly magnificent hero. Can’t wait to read the rest of this series. A splendid holiday read offered through BookBub. DESCRIPTION, NOT REVIEW: Desperate to escape agonizing memories of Christmas past, twenty-nine-year-old widow Megan Snow builds a snow family outside the mountain cabin she once shared with her husband, realizing too late that she's recreated the very thing she'll never have. Called to life by Megan's tears, snow god Owen Winters appears unconscious on her doorstep in the midst of a raging blizzard. As she nurses him to health, Owen finds unexpected solace in her company and unimagined pleasure in the warmth of her body, and vows to win her heart for a chance at humanity. Megan is drawn to Owen's mismatched eyes, otherworldly masculinity, and enthusiasm for the littlest things. But this Christmas miracle comes with an expiration—before the snow melts and the temperature rises, Megan must let go of her widow's grief and learn to trust love again, or she'll lose Owen forever. A very enjoyable story - i'll never look at a snowman the same way - a really nice HEA. It was such a simple, loving, warm, sexy story. More about overcoming feelings, grief and learning to trust again. It did not have the usual violence of some of the PNR stories, even the aggressor /adversary was tame compared to most PNR books
"3.5 out of 5 stars! After just reading a few chapters of "North of Need" it reminded me of the movie Jack Frost, even though this book has a different story line, I think it was the whole snowman-coming-to-life thing that made me think it. Anyway ... This is a wonderful book!! Also..." Read more of this review and a TEASER here: http://frommetoyouvideophoto.blogspot... È contenuto in

Owen Winters winds up on Megan’s doorstep in the middle of a blizzard, and he resembles the now-missing snowman with his mismatched eyes. As a god of winter, Owen controls snow and cold weather, but not even he can stop the coming of spring. He has less than a week to help Megan move past her pain and live again—and to fall in love with him—or he’ll melt away and leave her behind forever.
I absolutely loved this story. Both Megan and Owen are likable, well-rounded characters. It was wonderful to see Megan grow and heal from her misery and trauma into someone happy and willing to live life to the fullest. Owen has his own problems and a painful past, but he’s ready to love and live again. He was understanding and fun—exactly what Megan needed.
The story is told in duel H/h third POV with proper scene breaks. I didn’t notice any typos. There are a lot of sex scenes but most of them furthered the plot. The ending is super sweet. I’m very happy to have read this story, and I’d like to check out the other books in the series.
