Liking this series far more than the Breeds series by Lora Leigh. The stories just make more sense. The plots are tighter and the characters actions and reactions are more believable. They are disturbingly similar to the Breed series though. I do like how each story seems to be more complete in itself.

I really enjoyed Valient's character in this one. I enjoyed how he is so wild and aggressive and stuff but a total pussycat around the heroine. I like how he was vulnerable emotionally to her.

There were some giggles here especially at the first when they meet. She is a nice spunky heroine.

Looking forward to more of the series.

"Um, you look scary when you show your...um...teeth. They look really sharp."

He didn't get angry. In fact, her words seemed to amuse him greatly. "The better to eat you with," he teased softly.

Tammy's heart flipped inside her chest. "That's a bad joke, right? Please tell me you're just kidding."

"I'm not a wolf."
"I'm not wearing read."
"I still want to eat you."

She was shocked by his candor, and realized that no man had ever spoken to her that way before. He didn't attack her but instead seemed happy to just peer into her eyes. She calmed a bit. "I never thought I'd say this but you better be talking dirty to me."

Wow!

I swear, these books just drag me in and don't let me go at all. I loved Valiant when we first met him and this book only made me love him all the more. Tammy is strong and fierce and is the perfect match to Valiant. (

I should start off by saying that it took me a long time to read this author because her stories reminded me so much of Lora Leigh's Breed series. (Lora Leigh and I wrote for the same defunct epub press, so I was there when her books first started coming out. I believe this author also wrote for that same press, but I was gone by the time she got there.) Anyway, I decided that enough time had passed that I could give these books another go and I'm glad I did. Valiant was the first one I really liked because I thought it was interesting how she took a very animalistic male and paired him with a female, who seemed like she was going to be helpless, but quickly stood up for herself. This hero turned out to be very loving and had me rooting for them both by the middle of the book. It has its issues, but none detract from the enjoyment of the story. (

When they first meet he terrifies her, after getting a good smell of her Valiiant brings him into his house to convince her to stay. She starts by saying no and he convinces her to change her mind. She gets kidnapped and Valiant is able to track her down and he decides to keep her. The bad guys are back to wanting to kidnap and experiment on the women.
