The main character was a little frustrating, but in all works out in the end... of course! ( ) Lauren Gallagher, owner of Lauren's Luscious Licks, a wedding cake boutique, believes she has a fool-proof method of determining whether a marriage will last: watching a couple choose a wedding cake. This belief leads her to think that her friend Paige's upcoming marriage is doomed (he wants cupcakes with fish on them, for heaven's sake!), and a book proposal. While she and her other friend Robin scheme to save Paige from making a big mistake, Lauren's ex-boyfriend Neil and his new fiancee come into her shop, and choose the exact cake she's dreamed of for her own wedding. This convinces Lauren that Neil was The One for her after all, and there's a My Best Friend's Wedding-ish plot with Lauren trying to win him back. In the meantime, Mr. Right, a divorce attorney, is there in the wings, but Lauren's too caught up in her wedding cake theory to see him. In addition to the three girlfriends, there's also Lauren's head chef, Maria, who adds both humor and a whack on the head of sanity when needed. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
