Fourth time reading this first book in the Brotherhood of War series. It's like meeting up with an old friend you haven't seen for a while. The characters are well known to you. The story may be familiar but still absorbing. W.E.B Griffin is a master storyteller. Highly recommend to anyone who is not familiar with his work to check him out. I'm starting the next book, The Captains. (

Really good story about war and the people who fight in it. Any fan of war stories or World War II will really like this tale. (

A book that kept my interest--page after page. I listened to it almost entirely. It begins in WWII and goes on through the end of the 40s. The characters appear, at first, not to be Lieutenants...but, then it becomes apparent that the lieutenants are the purpose of the story. Exciting listen! (
