This book is great for students in 2nd - 5th grade, and will help to encourage their reading because of the different font styles and text colors used to make emphais' on new words or important words. ( )

I love uncle Samuel S. Stingysnout. I can't stop laughing whenever he says somethings, does something. It's so funny. You see he is a bit stingy. He has got money but doesn't share it or even spent it.

Geronimo Stilton and his family, Thea, Trap and Benjamin got a call from Uncle Samuel S. Stingysnout. In the call, they whole Stilton family was invited to Penny Pincher Castle to share moldy mozzarella cheese together and celebrate a special occasion. Geronimo didn’t want to go, but the other three persuaded him to join them. Penny Pincher Castle has a creepy reputation for strange happenings. Although things get a little rocky with their experiences at the castle, Uncle Samuel is a little stingy, Geronimo finally learns about the occasion for which they were invited to the castle. Although they believed they were attending a funeral, it was fake and the real reason they were there was to attend a family wedding, not a funeral. In this graphic novel, there are several colorful illustrations on every page. They are hand drawn and then colored in. They add extra detail to help tell the story. The story is written in varying font sizes and colors to which can be good for some students, but a distraction for others. The Geronimo Stilton is probably the most popular book series in my class. Students lobe reading them, so I had to read for myself and see what they were all about when given the chance. The books are easy reads and full of good humor. Throughout the book, they also use crazy names for different names throughout the story. I believe the illustrations help make the book so attractive to fifth-grade readers. The varying font size and color I believe is a good change up. This book would be a good book to do a read aloud around Halloween for students.
