Teaching seasons, or even for when it is currently that season. ( ) This wild old lady loves to swallow things that normally should not be eaten by human beings. This book offers humor, repetition, and rhyming words which makes it a great beginners read for younger children. After swallowing leaves, an entire pumpkin, a pole, some hay, and many more odd things, she finally sneezes out a surprise! This a great fall read aloud. My son is in 1st grade and found the book series in Kindergarten. He likes the repetition since he was learning to read. I had a choice of five books and he chose this one first since he was familiar with it. I like these books because it has rhyming words and great discussion pieces, to ask could we really swallow these things? Or why would she be swallowing this next? Great book for working on sequencing. This book is a great addition to any teacher's collection, one that students will always enjoy reading again and again.
That wild old lady is back swallowing fall-themed items. What can you make from leaves, clothes, a pumpkin, and rope? That's right, a scarecrow! Perfect for back-to-school time. Appartiene alle Serie
