Samira's Eid is a very cute book and perfect for younger students. One thing that I liked about the book is that it is actually interactive. There's a pen called the TalkingPEN that can be bought and used to touch certain parts of the story. When the pen touches the page, the pen will read the book in different languages. This is such a good idea for young children, because it can help keep them engaged and interested in the book. Another thing I liked about the book is the art work. The art is very colorful and upbeat. The use of these colors shows that Eid is a time of fun and revelry, and the bright colors will also keep young children engaged.
The point of the book was to show students what Eid is, and how Eid is about family and fun. This is shown when their grandmother comes back from the hospital just in time for Eid. ( )
