This book is an invaluable resource and workbook for all Spanish students. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to learn some of the grammatical subtleties of Spanish that occasionally get passed over in class. ( ![]() Dorothy Richmond is so good at explaining grammar rules in a straight-forward manner. What I like most is that you're spending a lot more time doing exercises to use what you've learned than you are reading explanations. This book and the Verb Tenses book should be on every Spanish learner's bookshelf, no matter what level you're at. If you're thinking of buying it, just do it! =) I have yet to go through her "Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Vocabulary" book, and I hope they are as great as her grammar books. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns and Prepositions A workbook to help you master Spanish pronouns and prepositions Some things just take a lot of practice to learn, and the correct uses of pronouns and prepositions are among them! Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns and Prepositions offers abundant explanations, examples, and exercises to allow the user to learn the right way to use Spanish pronouns and prepositions. Mastery of these two parts of speech is vital for all those who need to communicate with confidence in Spanish. The wealth of varied exercises offers the added plus of allowing for lots of practice. This book is divided into three main parts: Part I deals exclusively with pronouns-including subject, interrogative, possessive, relative, and demonstrative pronouns, as well as pronouns as objects of prepositions, numbers as pronouns, adjective pronouns, direct and indirect object pronouns, reflexive object pronouns, reciprocal pronouns, se and the passive voice, plus sentences that use two object pronouns. Straightforward explanations-in English-will clear up any and all ambiguities. Part II covers prepositions in all their glory, including their various uses and the subtle differences among certain prepositions. And, of course, there is extensive practice with the perennial troublemakers: por and para. The special relationship between certain verbs and prepositions is also addressed. Part III includes valuable charts and concise explanations and summaries such as "The Eight Parts of Speech" and "Pronoun Definitions and Charts." There is also an Answer Key for the numbered exercises in the text. As a review workbook, as a companion to a basic text, or as a reference source, Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns and Prepositions is an indispensable tool for all those who want to practice and perfect their use of these two aspects of language study that often fall through the cracks.
