LIVE LOVED is a great little devotional with reminders about God’s unconditional, all-encompassing love for us.

Max has filled this book with excerpts from his other books (“Fearless” | “Facing Your Giants” | “3:16” | “It’s Not About Me” | “Every Day Deserves a Chance” | etc) to touch on topics such as marriage, God’s love for us, facing our fears, having peace, God’s faithfulness, our purpose, etc. Each devotional also includes a short prayer, and several complimenting Scriptures.

The book is perfectly sized for keeping it on your bedside table. And, I liked the ribbon-bookmark that’s included to help you keep your place, or mark your favorite devotional. There are even a few dedicated pages at the end for you to journal your thoughts.

Overall, this is a really nice devotional book. Perfect for gift giving!

Live Loved is a collection of devotional readings consisting of excerpts from several of Max Lucado's books. Each reading is accompanied by three or four related passages of scripture and a short prayer. It isn't organized around a monthly or yearly calendar, so the selections don't need to be read in any particular sequence. The readings are best suited for newer Christians. Since many of the readings focus on God's love, comfort, promises, and encouragement, the book would also make a nice gift for long-time Christians who are seriously ill, grieving, or providing care for a parent or spouse.
