This book is great for students that need to learn how to be respectful and quiet when they need to be. ( )

A sheep on a farm who is sleeping in a big red barn just wants to sleep, but he can't! All of the other animals on the farm that are in the big red barn keep making noises! Every time the sheep can get one animal to be quiet and go to sleep, another one is right around the corner to make noises again. "No Sleep for the Sheep!" by Karen Beaumont is a fun book for young kids that has rhythm, rhyme, and repetition that would be great for young kids to chant along with. The pictures illustrated in the book are realistic and big enough for children to see, and they give clues as to what might happen next. This would be great to read with student sin the classroom in order to get them involved with reading and interacting with the story. ( )

I think the reason I love this book so much is because I can so relate to this poor little sheep! All he wants is some rest and everybody on the farm just keeps waking him up. It's a fun book to read and on a purely selfish level I'm hoping that little e and other members of our family will connect the sheep with me and let me sleep just a tad more.
