This story is well written and flows smoothly there are no awkward stops and starts. The plot is unique and the story is thought provoking. I did have one problem with it though, this story deals with an interracial relationship and I felt that the authors were preaching at me about racism more that telling me a romantic story. I have no problem with the color of the characters, but the subject matter of racism pretty much over hadows any real enjoyment I would have gotten out of watching the men try to overcome their differences in status and lifestyle and try to find love. The characters are well developed even though the story felt like it dealt more with Ben and his feelings than Jess. For that reason I thought the story was somewhat lopsided. It made it seem like Jess was the only one doing all the giving in the budding relationship. There are some steamy m/m situations that are well written and fit well with the story. I think was a good book, but that with this subject matter would have been better off in a longer story, so as to do more justice to the characters and their dilemmas.
