This joyful Sesame Street song embraces the notion that no matter where children live, what they look like, or what they do, they're all the same where it counts--at heart.

I really liked the book, We All Sing the Same Voice. This is a rhythmic story book with a positive underlying message. The book beats along in a simple rhythmic tone like a less kooky Dr. Seuss book. The book is a simple read and leaves us with a happy thought about all humankind being essentially the same and singing together in harmony (there's even a cat singing too). I enjoyed seeing the Utopia depicted in the book I look forward to the day that actually happens. ( )

In this book J. Phillip Miller shows children that everyone is different in their own ways but yet we all still sing with the same voice. Meaning that everyone is the same no matter what is different about them. ( )

"We All Sing with the Same Voice" is a great way to represent how we are all different yet very alike. Many times, we all share the same differences at some point in time. This book shows how some of us have blue eyes, dark hair, same sex parents, and are from other countries yet we all sing with the same voice and we sing in harmony. The style here seems to be set up like either a rhyming poem or a song. This would be a great book to sing to with children while teaching them a very important message. My favorite part about this book was that at the end of almost every description followed the statement "My name is you". This shows that we are all the same and should treat each other equally. "My name is Karen Sue. I'm called Kareem Abdu. My name is you. I come from Mecca and Peru. My name is you." ( )

Summary: This book is very good its about how children all over the world nay look different but do the same things.

Personal reaction: I loved how this book is a sing along.

Extensions: 1. I would have all the children say where they are from.
2. Everyone would hold heads in a circle singing the song and after go around and say what we like to do different than other people.

This book is called We all sing the same song. It is a good example of a multicultural children's book. This book is about children all over the world. This book is really great and it also comes with a audio CD. This book would be great for the classroom setting as long as the teacher has good energy while reading the story. This book teaches children more about there culture and others cultures. The main takeaway is that it teaches children to respect all different cultures no matter how different they may be. ( )
