This is probably one of the MOST VALUABLE set of books ever published on Arkansas Families. There are 7 volumes to the set, of which all have been reprinted with a New Full Name Index by S.H.P. at one point in time. This book is divided into two main sections. The first covers the history of the counties while the second covers biographical sketches of the early citizens of the counties with many references dating well back into the early to mid 1700's. This volume covers the Counties of: Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian, and Washington. This volume has over 1,550 Biographical Sketches along with some 7,500 other families listed within these sketches.
