In some of the illustrations, Cooper has set the words in a spiraling pattern that coincides with the actions of the illustrations. For example, in the photo, a man appears to be washing clothes and within the text it reads,"Suds, clothes, and one independent sock flop up and down and around in the washer." Young sports fans will appreciate this picture book. ( )

Ballpark was a step-by-step look at everything that goes on during the day of a baseball game. From the preparation of the field, all the way to picking up the food after the crowds file out. The words are laid out on the pages in different patterns and shapes keeping the reader interested. As a huge baseball fan, I enjoyed the book. ( )

My love of baseball books continues with this one. It reminds me of the many times that I have been at he ball park and all of this happens. I think it would be a great read for students, especially those who live in places that baseball is not as popular as other sports. ( )
