This was a fun read, with the right amount of humor and teenage angst. McDonald did an excellent job of showing how extremely different girls can grow to be friends under the right circumstances. I look forward to reading more by her. ( )

"Anti Prom" might appeal to its intended audience, but it never really captured my attention. Dealing with unlikely friendships and stereotypes, the book is narrated by the three main characters: Bliss, Jolene and Meg who band together to seek revenge of Bliss' boyfriend after he is caught cheating on Prom night. I didn't really like any of the girls, they all annoyed me, but if I was forced to choose, Meg, the quiet one, would probably be my favourite. Slightly humorous at times, there were parts of this book when I had to force myself to keep reading, and I couldn't wait to finish it. Not my cup of tea! ( )

a silly, light, fun read. three girls from completely different social strata find themselves caught up in all kinds of high school drama. not very believable, but still an enjoyable read.
bliss, the high school queen finds her world knocked off it's axis when she sees her bff making out with her bf in the prom limo.
jolene, the "bad girl," blackmailed into prom by her mother is drawn into helping bliss with revenge.
and meg. the wallflower with the car.
three completely different girls with 'nothing' in common on a one night adventure of revenge and new beginnings.
