First, the illustrations are interesting and abstract. For example, one illustration shows a picture of a black cat. The texture of the cat is very different and draws the readers attention while the contrast background of orange stripes draw the readers attention. I think these illustrations help the reader stay interested since the illustrations are detailed and more abstract looking when compared to other children's books. Another reason I like this books was because of the pattern of the writing. On every page the author writes what the narrator see's outside followed by, "right outside my window." I think this helps beginning readers to be able to read since the pattern help them remember what will come next. The big idea of this story is the changing season. The books starts out with birds chirping followed by leaves falling and then snow coming down. It lets readers learn and see the different season they may experience in their own lives. ( ) This realistic fictional book is about a little kid who is looking outside his window. He notices the changes of the seasons. The leaves begin to fall, snow falls, spider's make their webs, birds begin to fly and clouds conquer the sky. This all happens right outside of the child's window. The child sees all of the seasons and still wonders what changes will each season bring. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
