WHAT I LIKE Male main character knows how to guide a conversation, is quick witted, and a debonair personality. He is looking for the person that performed the dirty deed. He is a persistent both in his search and in his romance. Female main character is strong, intelligent and can stand up thru adversity. She lives with the father from hell. Historical role of Black people during the American Revolution. Some authors do not know how to interweave history into a fictional romance book. This author knew what she was doing. Written with the right balance of description of events and the right balance of characters dialogue. Story will hold your attention and is not boring. Passion is very tasteful and not overbearing.
I would be willing to read this book a second time at a later date.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE I have to be honest and say, "nothing". Great read.
MOST OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE "his manhood hardened", breasts.....that's it. ( )

Boston
December 1774
Primus Gray waited in the dark behind his print shop for his contact to arrive. Although she'd passed him secret information about the British before, he was the only member of the Sons of Liberty to know her true identity. To others she was known only as Lady Midnight, the code name he'd bestowed upon her in honor of the time she usually appeared. Quiet as a shadow and silent as the moonlight, she never tarried longer than the time it took to pass along whatever news she had to relay, and then she was gone.

I don't know. I was only allowed to speak with him privately for a few minutes before he was taken to the brig, and he told me that he'd been warned to leave Boston by the person he knew as Lady Midnight only moments before his arrest.
I'm sorry, Father. Sorry for the years we spent apart. Sorry for the rift between us. sorry that I'll nevr see you again.
I'm not one to pass along rumors, or to malign the innocent, but it is said that Stuart Kingston reports what he hears to the British. General Gage and his officers meet regularly at his inn, and Kingston refuses to support the ongoing boycott of crown goods that mosct residents have embraced. Do you know him?
Stubborn little bitch though. Prideful, too. Never understood why Kingston wasted perfectly good coin educating her but he said it had something to do with his late wife's estate. Who cares what a woman has in her head. It's what's between her legs that matters to a man. Don't you agree?
I'm twenty-six years old, and although untouched, hardly what society deems wife material, so that leaves scandal, and I value myself too highly to take on that role.
