[Magazine] National Geographic Kids is one of those magazines that naturally appeals to children. It's bright, it's colorful, and it's full of pictures of animals. It's full of large, full-color photos and fun facts, games, and high-interest articles ranging from Dinosaurs to the new Harry Potter movie. There are sections on Cool Inventions, Weird Science, Amazing Animals, Guinness World Records, Sports, and special features each month. There's also a tear-out poster of a polar bear, which will be a big draw for kids. The one thing I found disappointing was the number of "hidden" ads throughout the magazine. They are disguised as articles, but the small "advertisement" heading at the top gives them away. Despite this, however, National Geographic Kids is a fun, informative magazine that young children will definitely enjoy, and parents can feel confident in what their children are reading from this well-respected company. This magazine is recommended for children between the ages of 5-10. ( ) The magazine gives children visual information to learn more about the nature, such as animals, geography and other scientific facts. There are abundant photos in the magazine to prevent children from getting bored from reading too many scientific facts. It is a good "fact book" for children to learn about the world. This almanac is pleasing to the eye and is neatly organized into information boxes. Photographs, diagrams, and captions accompany each interesting fact and the information is presented in categories, which makes it easy to navigate. Even as an adult I found the presentation of information to be highly engaging. The editors presented measurements/numbers/size in ways kids can relate to. For example, the size of a blue whale is compared to 2 school buses. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
