Comeback Kids by Mike Lupica

Comeback KIds by Mike lupica is a very interesting book. It has many traits like suspense and comedy. The genre of the book is sports fiction. The book starts off with Scott Parry moving into his new house. He was the brainiest kid in his new school and had no friends. Him and his dad built a football field in there back woods. Scott was a very good kicker but nobody knew this about him. One day at the end of school Jimmy Dolan the town bully came over to him and dumped out Scott's bag. Chris Colon came over and told Dolan to stop and he did. Scott told Chris what happened and then they became friends. Chris would come over with his dog and play football at Scotts field. Chris was amazed when he saw how good Scott was at kicking.
But Chris promised that he would not tell anyone. They became very close friends but then one afternoon Chris was at Scotts house and Chris said he had dyslexia. If Chris didn't get an A on his reading until in school he would have to quit football. Scott agreed to help him learn how to read as long as Chris helped him be better at football. They studied and played football on a day to day bases. The day of the test Chris was ready and he got a A on it. He did not get kicked off the team, and Scott was now a very good ball player. The eagles were the team that they were on and the team was very good. They had won every game in the season and it was the last playoff game. The day was very rainy, The mud was slick so when Chris went to through a pass he slipped and rolled his ankle. Chris told the coaches about Scotts kicking skills and they need to score 3 extra points to win. Scott went out there and had to kick from the 30 yard line. He made to kick and the eagles won the playoffs. Scott was known all over and he was on sports center for his awesome kick. Chris and Scott became best friends and would talk about that kick for years.
