I have to thank three persons for this work:Lieutenant Hannes Wenko, who encouraged me to write the history of the Me 410. Mr. Peter Petrick, who placed his fantastic photographic collection at my disposal and sergeant Oszkár Kalamár, who gave me the first photo of a Hungarian Me 210. Additionally, I received invaluable help from former pilots of ZG 1 abd ABKZ-Ungarn. A number of former Me 210/410 oilots attended the meeting of Veteran Flyers, held during september of 1992 in Hungary. During this meeting met many of their former enemies, American and Soviet flyers. At the reunion, they recalled memories of the fights and their Youth, which hate had stolen many years. Let us think about them when reading this book and think about our unquiet World. It is up to us to see that these dark days of history are never repeated.
