A female commitment-phobe must find a cure for her fatal two-month itch - and fast! All this and much, much more in a fabulous collection of brand-new stories by Jennifer Weiner, Adriana Trigiani, Chris Manby, Lauren Henderson, Cindy Chupack, Sarah Mlynowski, Lauren Weisberger, Judi Hendricks, Julianna Baggott, Jill Smolinski, Nancy Sparling, Laura Wolf, Quinn Dalton, Lynda Curnyn, Claire LaZebnik, Melissa Senate and Gretchen Laskas. £1 from every copy sold will be divided between Barnardo's, the UK's largest children's charity and the American children's charity, the Make-A-Wish Foundation.… (altro)
I'm not a big short stories fan, but there were a few authors I really like with items in this book. The stories I enjoyed most were "Bamboo Confessions", "The Truth about Nigel", and "Andromeda on the Street of Ducklings" -- the last one was the best, I think. Most of the stories are pretty mediocre. Our book group was trying out short story ideas and we found this book. It was okay. You live, you learn. ( )
Maybe I'm just not a huge short story fan. I always feel like I want to know more about the characters, more of their story. I love Jennifer Weiner so that's why I took this one with me a vacation a couple years ago, but I really need to stop trying with these types of books. ( )
