Warm and Safe Environment
After Stonewall is a friendly locally-owned bookstore catering to the GLBT community of Ottawa. Framed by stone pillars on its Bank Street storefront, the store has a tasteful and professional look keeping with the attitude the owner maintains towards the world of GLBT literature. Inside the store, the many shelves filled with books, tables of featured writings and walls covered with contemporary art give visitors a comfortable feeling of being in a cozy niche bookstore rather than a branch of a large commercial chain. Asking the owner of the store for advice will surely land you a couple of good reads in your hands.

Offering Selection and Quality
This humble bookstore, open since1990, has evolved and grown to its present Bank Street location, after expanding twice already. After Stonewall strives to always be a welcome environment where gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered individuals can find the best of literature and non-fiction by and about members of this community. Even with such a specialized genre, the book selections cover a wide variety of topics both fictional and non-fictional. Biographies, humorous books, mysteries and erotica are just some of the types of books available for men and women. Aside from books, After Stonewall also carries a vast selection of magazines such as Curve, Jock, Dude and Transformation. There's lots of other merchandise as well, such as artwork, mouse pads, CDs, flags, bumper stickers and movies.

Far-Reaching Service
After Stonewall is so dedicated to reaching all lovers of GLBT literature that the store even ships books to customers as far away as Nunavut, St. Johns and the Queen Charlotte Islands in British Columbia.
