Land of the Blindfolded by Sakura Tsukuba

“If there were a land of blindfolded people would they understand the concept of sight? Sometime my blindfold slips a little bit.”

Outsaku Kanade is always on the lookout of others well being. She describes her blindfold as slipping off because she can see something that no one elts can, the future. When she touches someone it is possible for her to see his or her future.

Naitou Arou is a new transfer student to Kanades school. He also has a special power. He can see the past when he touches someone (he can control his power better then Kanade).

Together they join forces to try to understand their powers and help prevent others from getting hurt. But Namiki Masahiro, another new transfer student has other ideas about how to use his powers. So what will happen to our duo?

Read the first couple of volumes in this series, but never finished it. Didn't think it was particularly bad, just wasn't really hooking me so that I had to know what happened next. Does it finish strong?

oddly I don't remember. It's been a while since I've read the series.
I simply wanted to post something that I believe not a lot of people have heard of.
I found that the concept of the blindfold is original.

I can remember that I really liked the ending, and that I felt it really fit the series. So from that viewpoint I would say the series has a strong ending. However, it's also been a while since I read it. I will also say that the pacing of Land of the Blindfolded (and of Penguin Revolution, another series of hers translated by CMX) tends to be more relaxed and slice-of-life. That style of writing isn't necessarily going to appeal to everyone. I love it, though.

I also read the first few books and then never continued on with it. I think it has a lot to do with the fact my library system only had the first few and it wasn't a series I had enough interest in to invest money in.

My friend was the one who introduced me to the series. She had the first book, then I borrowed the rest from the library.

For me reading the same genre would be boring. I need to "spice it up" a bit and read a variety of genres and authors. This was a nice "simple" read, nothing too intense.
