Does anybody know of any independent bookstores in the Orlando area?

I haven't been there, so I can't personally recommend it, but have you been to Urban Think?

625 East Central Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32801

I found it by searching for indie bookstores on BookSense.com.

i think Park Books is still on Park Avenue in Winter Park. If you should mosie up towards DeLand in Volusia County (about 30 miles) the Muse Book store is absolutely wonderful. (It alsosells my books), in Orange City there is a new book store with eclectic inventory called "Half-Off Books" on Enterprise Road (also sells my books) there is a massive used and some new bookstore (and i mean massive) called the Family Book Store on 17-92 (the Boulevard) next to I-Hop in north DeLand. If you like old paperbacks, Patti's Paperbacks in the Industrial Park of Orange City is also good. In Daytona Beach, always visit Victor Newman's MUSE bookstore. He has things Abebooks doesn't have. Found a new hardbook copy of mike shaara's the herald there for $5.00!!!

to see mybooks go to:

I also like BrightLights in Casselberry. They've always got some Folio Society and Heritage Press.
