Trying to find books for this category, I came across the blog of a couple who's trying to do a version of this challenge. They recommend 100 Best Books for Children in 011.

Doing a search on this group I came across Book Lust for 011. Nancy Pearl's other books would presumably qualify as well.

I scanned the 000 section while I was at my library today. It was pretty scant, just three books for 003 and several in use numbers didn't have any books at all. I did however see a promising one in 016. Slavery in the Courtroom appears to collect relatively succinct accounts of notable American and British legal cases involving slavery. According to Amazon it also analyzes historical pamphlets regarding slavery law which I'm guessing is how it ended up in 016. It looked like it could be a good way of brushing up on some of the more notable legal battles on the subject.
And it definitely seems more promising than reading one of the book-summary books that seem to dominate the 110's.
