Salt Publishing in trouble

LT author Tania Hershman has let me know that short story publisher Salt Publishing is in trouble. Salt, who are a major publisher of both short fiction and poetry, say they need people to buy their books - now - to keep themselves afloat. You can read all about this call to action at

I have no personal interest in this - I'm not published by Salt, and have no work under submission to them - but I think it would be a great shame if Salt went under. I urge you to take a look at the books they publish and consider buying one or more.
