Whee! Me and Heaven-Ali both have reviews in the From Our Readers section! We were only joking about that in the shop on Tuesday last, as we'd had one each but wanted to be in the same one.

And Fleur, do I spot you in there too? Any more?

I haven't received mine yet :(.

Nor has Ali!! I wonder if it's cos my surname begins with a B? Or are you Bunny B.....in real life in which case that doesn't work...

Hee, I'm bunnyb in real life ... I have a horrible feeling that I didn't update my new address with them. Ah well, I'll send them an email and hope for one to turn up.

Received my copy today. Well done LizzyBee, Heaven-Ali and FleurFisher - I have enjoyed reading your comments. I shall save the rest of it for the week-end.

Mine turned up today also and I have read it from cover to cover.

Oh! I know they don't have my updated address! :( (I wonder if they will mail me out another one to my new place?)

Congrats all with reviews in the biannually!

They will, Christina! I emailed to ask if I had updated my address and they replied saying that they would check and send me out one to my new address if not, but it arrived this morning and the query was immaterial.

Email: done! I hope so, bunnyb. Thanks!

Edited to say: For those waiting in suspense--they did get back to me and said they'd mail me another one! Yay!

Ooh I just got mine today and saw FleurFisher's review and thought hey up that rings a bell! Well done everyone first time I've recognised anyone in there.

I also bought Making Conversation today..because I couldn't resist :)
and I'm really pleased to note they're going to publish High Wages by Dorothy Whipple in the autumn. (Weirdly enough I did email them about that one ages ago and they said it wasn't as strong as her others but they've obviously changed their minds about it! hurrah!)

Oh no I still haven't got mine : ( and I have bought in the last year - I bought four (as pressies) last week in the shop. Wonder where mine is?

I really like the cover of this biannually: Dreams by Florentine Vittorio Matteo Corcos.

I received mine last night and read it from cover to cover. I loved the bookmark with the excerpt from "Making Conversation." Why can't female writers today write like that anymore?

It's nice to see more titles in the Persephone Classics series, and hopefully I'll see these at Three Lives or Crawford Doyle in New York soon.

My copy has made it all the way to Australia :) My bookmark is the 'Amours de Voyage' version. Congrats to Lyzzy, Ali and Fleur for their lovely reviews!

>12 christiguc: I agree, Christina, the painting on the cover is beautiful... I found an even better (less washed out) version at Wikipedia:

I guess I shall not receive any this time, since everybody else in the US seems to have it already, but not me. Oh well.....such is life!

Oh dear. I had not signed up because I was afraid it would be too great a temptation but I would love to read all your reviews. I will be tripping over to the Persephone website momentarily.

I'm also waiting impatiently from the US - should I still have hope, or contact them??

Oh great joy! Mine arrived today after much anticipation (and pestering dear Manuel to look twice in his bins everyday for an envelope from England!)

I'm only on page 8 "Our Readers Write" and as there is our dear LyzzyBee, Fleurfisher and Heaven-ali, there is also (if I'm not mistaken) our Danielle Torres under "A Work in Progress" for her comments on A Fortnight in September AND Rob Hardy under "RoughDraft" for his comments on The Young Pretenders.

Ha! So cool! I think this group has made quite the mark on Persephone!

Has anyone else discovered the new Persephone blog?

Yes, "The Persephone Post" reminds me of the "Ancient Industries" blog, which Nicola Beauman cited in one of her previous newsletters.
