Today is the birthday of Charlotte Brontë born in Yorkshire, England, in 1816. She wrote Jane Eyre (1847), the story of a poor orphan who finds a job as a governess and eventually falls in love with her mysterious employer. The novel was an immediate success. Within two years of its publication, all of Charlotte's siblings had died. She married in 1854 but died soon after from complications with her pregnancy.

Hi everyone-
So I see that groups now have tags. I really would like to add a Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and Tenant of Wildfell Hall tag. I don't want to presume but I think it would help interested parties find us if they wanted to have or listen to a conversation about any of those books. What do the rest of you think?
Maybe I should have made this its own topic, but I think it doesn't quite deserve its own thread.
