I took this list of nominees to New York this weekend but didn't have much luck at finding many of them. I hoped I'd find some of them at the Oscar Wilde Bookstore but it was already closed. I found We Disappear by Scott Heim and Assisted Loving at the Strand but that was it.

I just finished Stray Dog Winter by David Francis and is is very good. I highly recommend it. Anybody else read it yet?

I was put off of Stray Dog Winter after hearing that it was "disturbing" and "brutal" which I decided wasn't really where I need to go. Have I been steered wrong?

If you like mystery "Spider Season" is very good. I would liek to read "Got 'til it's Gone" by Duplechan. Duplechan's "Captin Swing" was excellent.

Try Amazon.com for the titles you can't find in stores.

I try to never buy any books from Amazon or any chain book store. The independents may be going fast but there's no reason not to buy everything you can from them.

I should pay more attention to Library Thing and this group. Soldier Boy was a 2013 Lambda Literary Foundation Finalist in the Erotic Romance category and the latest version is going to be available for sale in about two weeks. If you'd like to read the PDF for free, give me a heads up. I'm the author and you can find me on Facebook every day (the Thomas Marshall with the blue shirt and the cardiac monitor system in the background). Hope you're enjoying the summer, guys! :-)
