Wow!! There are quite a few of us now, let's get more active with discussion!

I'm currently reading Sakuya Fuji's Men Who Can't Get Married. It's about some rich guy who frequents this host club type restaurant that only women usually go to but he's really good friends with the owner so he comes by to gaze at the pretty boys often and they hamper lots of attention on him, much to the chagrin of the female patrons who love to gossip about him.

Anyway, he hadnt been there in a good long while and they've since hired a new waiter who he is very attracted to but is all business. I'm on the second chapter where the new waiter somehow finds himself at the rich guy's apartment. Oops, forgot to mention that somehow the waiter was a violinist of some reknown and rich guy recognized him by his hands... can't wait to see what that's all about.

Yeep. Distracted lately.

I'm still poking away at the two most recent additions to the pile.

One is Wasabi Maguro's ネクラートホリック. (Gah. How would you write that in romaji? It doesn't mean anything . . .) When not in her BL mode, this is Higashiyama Kazuko who does tactics with Kinoshita Sakura.

At any rate, vampire versus dhampire / vampire hunter rival slash with weird humor and smut galore. The twist here the hunter can paralyze vampires with his tongue, so, yeah, you can guess where that's going . . . And the vampire runs a love hotel where he rents out as a dominatrix (ditto).

The other one is the second volume of Shinba Rise's 愛人--淫魔 (Aijin Incubus). This one's called "Version Pink"; I thought it might be a reissue of the previous under the new Libre imprint, but nope -- all-new stuff.

Let's see. In the first volume, Our Hero's family inherits what turns out to be a house haunted by a sex demon who feeds on sexual energy but can only suck it from males (for reasons explained in vol. 2). So he puts lots of effort into arranging increasingly compromising (and absurd) traps for Our Hero to get off in.

Not nearly as much weird sex in the second volume; this one is devoted more to the plot and expanding on support characters.

So. Two volumes in and no one's slept with anyone else (lots of whacky variations on tentacles though), so I'm guessing it'll be an extended series.

Ooo!! I have ネクラートホリック as well! Haven't had a chance to read it yet, just got a few new Chi Ran volumes and new Loveless so I have been distracted, lol. I have no idea she was half of Tactics team! I haven't read the tactics manga but I've seen a few eps of the anime (I know, a poor substitute). Maybe I will read ネクラートホリック next!

Forever running late here . . .

But, yeah, she does the Tactics manga with Kinoshita (the latter also did the two Mythical Detective Loki series), and their art styles are very similar. The two of them also have cranked out a few smutty BL doujinshi on the side for Tactics (they're the "Mad Cookie Monster" circle), but these are too expensive on the secondary market to even contemplate getting.

I've moved off BL for the time being and on to Prince of Tennis. There aren't that many long volume titles in the BL 'genre'.

I recently bought Toko Kawai's Bond(z), Fake Fur, and Love Mode 5. I really enjoy both Bond(z) and Love Mode, but haven't read Fake Fur yet.

Ha! More reading material! Stuff that was out of print and is now back in print, so BINGO! vols. 10-15. New title, Asterisk vol. 1. And some novels. (Touchstones go to the wrong titles.)

I just finished rereading Dr. Ten's Aijin Ichiman-en, which is nothing amazing (I'd actually completely forgotten that I'd already read it) but manages to be amusing all the same.

I've also got a neat volume called Nagaraja, which is by a mangaka known simply as "Lee." I'm not entirely convinced that "Lee" is not Sugiura Shiho working under a(nother?) pen name, the art is so similar. If she isn't Sugiura, she owes her royalties.

And on the novel front, I've gotten back to work on some offerings from the endless Jadou and Oucho Romanse catalogues.

I just finished The Prime Minister's Secret Diplomacy and I enjoyed it, although I kept thinking of the main characters as Katou and Iwaki. It's just the one volume as far as I can see, but she's still writing episodes for it in Hertz.

I also read After I Win, but I didn't really like it. I'm glad I got it through the library otherwise I would have felt as if I wasted my money.
