I have been so busy this week that I didn't have time for posts or character talk so you decide what characters youl would like to discuss in the future and I will put them up for discuss in future Character Talks.

I'm recovering from the turkey aftermath, slowly but surely!

I have always had a hard time warming up to Bree in the novels. I wonder if anyone else feels the same.

I liked the character of Brianna at first, but as the books moved along, I liked her less and less. I don't know if it is that she seems to know everything she needs to know for 18th century life or the fact that as the child of Claire and Jamie, she interferes (if that is the right word) in their relationship somewhat. Anybody else feel this way?

Hmmm . . .I've never thought about that. I do get impatient with Briana's parts of the books. I catch myself thinking, "Yeah, yeah. Let's get back to Claire and Jamie!" Maybe that's why I don't care for her. But, she does seem to have a know-it-all attitude that grates on my nerves.

It's interesting to see that others feel the same way about Brianna. I also found myself getting impatient with her parts of the book. I do like her in A Breathe of Snow, though. She seems to have mellowed a little, plus I like how she 'invents' all these modern things. That part has been fun to read.

I'm reading Voyager right now, but I have to say that in Dragonfly in Amber, I was having an issue with the beginning of the book. I went right from Outlander to DIA and that was tough. After all that Jamie and Claire go through, I didn't want to read about Brianna and Roger. I think that was why I was impatient with Brianna too. Now that I'm past that, I'm curious what actually happens with her and Roger - which I know I will find out in the other books.

What I love most about Bri and Roger's relationship is when you can see the differences between their relationship and Claire and Jamie's relationship. It was really amazing to see it. I can't tell you more without spoiling stuff but when you are done up to the sixth book we can talk more about them.

I like Brianna, I find it so funny how some people don't care for Brianna if you listen and pay attention, you will realize that she is just like Jamie, personality wise.
