Amazon announced today the addition of a button on book product pages that users can press to indicate that they would want to read that particular title in a Kindle edition. I just went through my wish list and pushed through my "wished for" titles.
Have you done this? Will you be apt to request a particular title?

I guess I am behind the times. I will look into this feature since I often go into the Kindle store and don't find what I want. Thanks for the heads up.

Great feature! I requested all the Harry Potter books and the three volumes of the Bartimaeus Trilogy. Hope the publishers are listening.

How do you do this? I went to the amazon book sight but didn't see this feature.

Go to the page that displays a book you are interested in reading. Underneath the photo of the cover on the left, there is a button that says:
Please tell the publisher:
I'd like to read this book on Kindle
All you have to do is click the button!

Rowling's got some kind of prejudice against eBooks, whether out of fear of piracy or the fact that she herself does her writing on paper or whatever.

Thanks for telling us about this Jill (is that your name? I gathered from the login name). I will definitely go to my wishlist and do the same. About time, eh?

On Th/Friday, I went through my wishlists and moved everything that's already offered on Kindle to a new list, and then requested everything else for Kindle. :) I went back today and a handful of books the requests are available, so I moved them to the other list. I wonder how long the whole process takes, from making the request, to publishers approving, to the book being converted? Or if they need a certain number of requests before they'll say yes?
