How many have you read?

I was wondering how many NYRBs everyone had read - looks like some people have practically the whole catalog

Although I own a few, so far I have only read one: Seven Men by Max Beerbohm. Brilliant!

Four, almost five, as I am currently reading The Dud Avacado.

Although I own the entire catalog, I've been having a hard time keeping up. I have read 48 of them, though, by my count. (I started back in 2003.)

Re message #2: Poking around your library, I can see that you own many books that you might not even realize are NYRB Classics. For instance, there's a lot of overlap with Virago. So I think I would count these, even if they aren't in the NYRB edition. What do you all think?

Viragos count as Viragos even if they aren't Virago editions, so I definitely think NYRBs count as NYRBs, regardless of editions. Sure, the introductions are different (both usually excellent) as well as the covers, but it's the story that matters!

Sylvia Townsend Warner's Lolly Willowes is published by NYRB Classics, Virago Modern Classics, and Academy Chicago. The triple crown!

I've read As a Man Grows Older in a different edition - even the title was different - but I still count it as a NYRB.

I didn't have time to go through the whole list, but of the ones I looked at, I think I've only read three -- and what an odd assortment! They are The War of the Worlds, The Towers of Trebizond, and The Bog People!

On the other hand, I've read 15 of the children's collection (mostly because I loved Jenny and the cat club as a child.) Wonder what that says about me?

I have 35 I have tagged as NYRB but again I have Viragos and other editions that may overlap plus a fair number of mine are the children's books which are easy to read.

I started actively noticing NYRB titles around 2004 or 2005 and actively picking them up the last couple of years.

I have read 23 of the ones I have tagged.

I have read 22 of the works on the list. Some I no longer own, and some are NYRB editions.

I have just received my order from nyrb which was placed on 16 June. The books include - The Furies, Chess Story, The Towers of Trebizond and The Siege of Krishnapur. The time between the order and the receipt of the books is very short considering they have to come to the southern hemisphere.

I haven't been tagging them NYRB, but a guesstimate would be that I've read 15-20 and own another 15-20 that I haven't read yet. Maybe will go through catalog and tag.
