How to listen to books like The Candy House

I am forced to “read” audiobooks because of poor vision. But new books using non-traditional structure and form, and even conventional books that include dialogue from 21st century tech, pose a problem.
I am thinking of trying The Candy House after reading A Visit from the Goon Squad but don’t know how the chapter using PowerPoint could work. Has anyone tried to listen to this novel?

I have listened to both here is my review of The Candy House.

I agree with one of the other reviewers that this is not a book to listen to the audio. Most of the time I had no idea what was going on and thought I should abandon the audio. I have listened to A visit to the goon squad and cannot remember one single thing about it. Perhaps I should stick to her more conventional works. I must be in the minority as it has a rating of 4.16, alas i can only give 2,5

>2 bergs47: Thanks. I managed with A Visit from the Goon Squad but it wasn’t easy, and I had to skip one chapter entirely. It’s a pity and I expect an increasing number of books will be written using 21st century methods of communication.

>2 bergs47: Your link doesn’t take me to your review of The Candy House but to my own edit page of that book. I had the same problem and now know what I was doing wrong. I had to ask on the Welcome to LT group. See the link to the discussion here
