Where did the year go?

Here it is almost Christmas and I have not posted on here in a LONG time. I have to say it is probably because 2022 was the slumpiest reading year I have had in a long time. I wasn't too excited about a lot of the books I was reading and I was extremely busy with life, work, etc. You know how it goes. So.................. how did the rest of you do this year as far as reading? Any standout books to recommend romance or otherwise? I am hoping that 2023 is a better reading year. I'm looking forward to finding out anyway.

>1 sdbookhound: LOVE your word "slumpiest!"

I met my goal of 22 books, but I find myself mindlessly playing games on my phone instead of reading. I need to change that.
