Ok I read this book in the 90s in elementary school but it could have been older since our school was poor. It could have been from the 80s. The cover was orange, with a black and white drawings of giant bugs destroying a city.

The book had several different horror stories, but one of the stories was this drug-fueled vision of the future involving giant bugs destroying humanity. They had destroyed everything and picking off the remnants. The narrator then describes in great detail how he is being eaten by a bug. Then it switches to 3rd person that the narrator was on drugs and getting arrested - he just happened to be a young scientist. It also mentioned it was around New Year's Eve.

It also had a story involving Death, and the phrase "death perception" and "depth perception" being mixed up.

I cannot remember the title nor the author. If anyone knows this, I would be grateful. Thank you for looking!

Based on the death/depth perception thing, Google Books suggests this might be Super Three Minute Thrillers. The cover I see online doesn't have giant bugs though.

>1 Onedear: I bet that rarm is correct. Here's a copy of the cover from Goodreads:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1300621.Super_Three_Minute_Thrillers

And from Google Books, here's a snippet of the "death perception" language:

"Page 36

"Miles turned and ran for help. But he knew it was useless. He didn't know how good his depth perception was, but it was clear his death perception was ..." (I can't read the rest)
